Draws may lack a winner but not drama.
With 30 seconds left in regulation, Cardinal O’Hara’s Martin Meenan stepped up to a free kick — some 30 yards from goal —and delivered an equalizer to tie things with Father Judge at 3-3. That score held through two overtimes, so the Philadelphia Catholic Schools split the points.
Meenan scored twice in the contest, which saw the Lions jump out to a 2-1 lead — Jalen Hammond had the other O’Hara goal — before the Crusaders rallied to take a 3-2 lead. Andrew Peticca made seven saves for the Lions to preserve the tie.
