Two goals by sophomore Asher Laackman and one by junior Bernie Rogers kick-started a comeback Tuesday for the Haverford School boys soccer team, which defeated Germantown Friends 4-2 in a PAISAA quarterfinal match.
GFA, the champion of the Friends League, scored first on a goal by Nolan Grady off a penalty kick in the 14th minute.
But Laackman scored twice and Rogers scored before the half. Later, Laackman assisted on a put-away goal by MJ Atkins.
The Fords travel to Springside Chestnut Hill to take on the Blue Devils in a tournament semifinal match Thursday afternoon.
