The third-seeded Haverford School advanced to the championship game of the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association boys soccer tournament with a 2-1 victory over Springside Chestnut Hill Academy Thursday.
Asher Laackman netted the winning goal off a rebound in the 68th minute. Freshman Joe Pariano scored the tying goal midway through the opening half after SCHA had grabbed an early 1-0 advantage.
Senior goalie Will Boyes registered six saves, and Mitchell Hark and Andrew Johnson excelled on defense for the Fords
No. 1 Hill School defeated Kiski School on penalty kicks, 5-4, after their semifinal finished 2-2 after extra time. Hill School and Haverford School will play for the title next Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Immaculata University.

Episcopal Academy dropped a 3-0 decision to Penn Charter in the PAISAA semifinals.
Goalie Allie Bush made three saves for the Churchwomen, who finished the season with an 11-7 overall record.
